Somalia-Egypt-Eritrea Versus Ethiopia-UAE-Somaliland: Two Alliances in the Making
Since Ethiopia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the northern breakaway province of Somaliland on January 1st of this year, Addis Ababa has been assured access to a naval base and coastal areas; in exchange, Ethiopia would recognize Hargeisa.
