This is an opportunity for the IGAD to engage with the EU directly in Brussels. One could think that the main goal for a Representative Office like this one is mainly to improve IGAD\u2019s visibility to European donors. With the EU being one of IGAD\u2019s major partners, we see why this initiative is welcomed. Furthermore, in February 2024, the EU and IGAD enhanced their partnership by signing a 4 million EUR financing agreement.
